You mad cause Im STYLIN on ya

Soooo in my downtime at Chic Little Devil,

I've taken it upon myself to style a few looks here && there.

When a client has to have one of the fab fits on the showroom's various mannequins,

I decide to revamp the dressform with something too chic to look at once. lol

I even got the opportunity to spread my stylin' wings when pulling looks for a photoshoot!

{Which I unfortunately failed to snap some pics of :/ }

Anywho, here's a handful of looks I've styled thus far in my interning experience at CLD.

While in L.A. over the weekend with Kev's family, he spotted a great photo-op,

so I had to take advantage. lol

Last week {after much convincing}, Kevin took me bowling!

I haven't been since my middle school days, && have never been too thrilled about wearing those rugged && stinky bowling shoes or getting my fingers stuck in that boulder of a bowling ball. lol

Buuuut in the end, I guess that's what makes it fun.

We played 3 games, Sexy Chocolate vs. George. lol

The first 2 without bumpers, && the last with the bumpers in full effect.

Game 1......Kevin won...

Game 2......Kevin won AGAIN!..lol

But as for Game 3?!

I {finally} claimed victory!

Yes, IN A MAXI DRESS!

&& No, not because the bumpers were up. lol

For some unexplainable and odd reason,

the bowling ball was willing to cooperate with me

and would head down the center of the lane!

So really, the bumpers were there to help Kev out. hahah

All in all, we had a lot of fun, && as weird as it sounds,

I'm looking forward to going bowlin' again :)

OUT OF THE SHADOW

It's her time to shine!

Singer, songwriter, && now fashion maven, Solange is making a name for herself

now more than ever.

I'm sure that she'll inevitably be referred to as "Beyonce's little sis," yet she's definitely breaking out of B's shadow with both her music && her sense of style.

I don't necessarily think Solange is trying to "keep up with the Jones',"

she's just aware of the fact that fashion is where it's at! lol

The hot mama has been creating a new vibe on the fashion scene,

taking some of the biggest fashion risks EVER....&& I can do nothing but applaude her!

I love it!!!

Fashion is all about turning heads && stepping on the toes of comfort and conformity,

Solange being an apparent believer in that philosophy.

So I had to take this opportunity to give sum kudos to the Sol-Angel. :)

Talking Business

The scorching heat sutured with the fact that I'm {still} jobless

equals a summer of boredom.

In all actuality, I guess I can't complain too much because I did take advantage of the fantastic opportunity to go to New York with my best friend at the beginning of the summer.....&& I am a fashion intern at a phenomenal style house.

But there's still something that has yet to fill that void, the very thing that us kids go crazy about when they're fresh out of school.

Yet after my recent meetings with a new friend, I've realized what I need to devote all of this spare time to, && have been routed back to my passion and doing what I love.

I met Starsky of Major Hype clothing back in early June

at the Save Darfur Fashion Show that was held at my school.

He told me that "my line was dope" lol && that he'd love to talk business in the near future to help me out with getting my designs seen by the right people.

We exchanged information && the next thing ya know, we were meeting up to chitchat about the direction I want my line to go as well as possibly a future collabo.

Kev was thrilled about the whole ordeal when I told him of the big plans we had && was more than ready to hop on board, helping out in any way that he could.

Since he's creative && knows the ins & outs of the whole t-shirt printing biz {since he mastered it in his high school graphics classes},

I knew that this could be a win-win situation for us both.

We met up with Starsky Wednesday evening to further discuss some future events && collab ideas that've been in the works.

{I'll be SURE to keep ya in the loop when the event is almost here!}

After a few hours of productive conversation,

I snapped some picks of Starsky's fly fit, then later on, Kev snapped some of me. lol

You betta WORK

I've noticed more than ever that Ciara has been really trying to step her game up.

Not only in the realm of music, but in fashion as well.

Although she has been around for a good chunk of time,

the infamous and forever fierce Beyonce along with rising star Keri Hilson

are the chicks that she needs to watch out for! lol

And even though Rihanna continues to remain m.i.a on the music scene {OBVIOUSLY due to the fact that she's waiting for the whole Chris Brown incident to blow over},

she's still a force to be reckoned with with her chameleon-like style.

I'm not a die-hard Ciara fan, but I've got to admit, she's all grown up now

&& is pushing to play hardball with the divas.

I came across her new video for her song "Work" featuring funky fresh emcee, Missy Elliot.

The fashion in the vid is very creative && vibrant, && Ciara looks gorgeous!

Keep up the good work CiCi! :)

I've also found a few photos from recent events where Ciara's been spotted,

&& the girl is kickin' her style up a few notches.

I also read that she's been signed to Wihelmina modeling agency?!
