CHIC LITTLE INTERN

Sooo I’ve been interning for about a month now at Chic Little Devil Style House in Los Angeles &&………….I LOVE IT!! I decided to snap this photo before the day got too hectic with me running around all day {and before my feet started giving way in these gravity defying shoes!} When people ask “what’s your typical day as an intern?” I must say, there’s NO SUCH THING as typical in the life of making coffee one minute to picking up massive orders of clothes from showrooms to even styling photo shoots {which has been my favorite assignment thus far :) }. Although many may snub the idea of working for no money, but my compensation is the new lessons that I take home with me and the countless connections I’ve made with people.

Yes folks: Kev && I spent yet another day with "the peeps."

This time, some of our other amigos from high school cared to join us

while we kicked it at John's house.

Including...

...the nutty John! {duh}.......who did his remarkable rendition of "SHAAAWAMM-ing" while holding my Louis V Sprouse edition bag! lmao!

Then our friend Craig popped up...{Yes, it's "the guy from Malcolm in the Middle"...Stevie! lol}

I was forced to snap a pic of him because I was infatuated with his chimp-infested shirt!

...&& I {secretly} loved his jeans :)

Then lastly, my b-boy friend Manny showed up on the scene too!

The night was filled with laughs, "DTS" {inside joke} && funny stories as we all reminisced over who was who in high school while flipping through the yearbook from our senior year.

I know that this summer will have plenty more nights like this to come...

FIREWORKS

FRIENDS OF A FEATHER

The other day, my B.F. Kev && I kicked it with our friends John && Andre.

Despite the scorchin' summer heat, the guys were dressed like some cool kids...

so I decided to snap a few pics of them!

John {aka "Lync"} is a dancer && aspiring rapper all in one!

TRUST ME, he's not your average MC.

Yea, he's a lover of tattoos lol, but his lyrical content blows many clear out of the water!

&& he makes all of his own beats!

I'm SOOO proud of him! lol Even in high school, I always knew he'd be the type to be successful in whatever he chose to do.

&& YES!!!:: I had to get a close-up of his socks! I teased him about 'em all day, yet in all actuality, they were quite dope. lol. Even though it was 100,000 degrees outside! lol

CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Despite all of the hot water our country is in right now

with global warming, the recession && all the baggage that comes with it,

I'm so blessed to be in America.

As much as I may disagree with countless issues

that our country STILL needs to work on/pay attention to,

{like racism, police brutality, homelessness, the prison system..&& the list goes on...&& ON! lol}

I am in love with the fact that I can call this my home.

I could be living anywhere in the world right now

{although Paris isn't that bad of an idea lol}

and could be living in horrid circumstances, yet I'm here.

Minus the many downsides of this country, the U.S. is a land of freedom && opportunity.

So with that said, I wish you && yours a

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Geez louise!

I've been SUPER busy!

I've only been interning for a week && yet I'm learning new things day by day.

With rooms full of endless amounts of the chicest clothes, shoes, && accessories, as an intern, I get to dive into it all...organizing that is. lol

Yesterday was thus far my most exciting experience.

Upon arrival at the style house, the preparations began for the celeb shopping event that the company was hosting.

The guest list had me drooling just thinking about the likes of

Shia Lebouf, Leona Lewis, & Kourtney Kardashian walking through the door.

From preparing food && drinks to running errands & checking in people on the guest list, I did it all. I loved the excitement && the atmosphere of being surrounded by so many fabulous people from the wide spectrum of fashion.

My shift was from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

I wish I could've stuck around to see what famed folks were coming to the event, but they were scheduled to arrive much later for the cocktail party and they let us know that us interns were free to go.

I did manage to see Jerell Scott from Project Runway, speaking briefly in the elevator && while I chopped up watermelon. lol.

Since we {the interns} were required to sport the "back to black" look,

I managed to throw this fit together at the last minute

since I don't own THAT many savvy, black pieces.
